Role
Senior UX Designer

A multinational insurance holding company needed a north star for how to evolve its broker portal to be more user-friendly and productive, along with a roadmap for how to get there. Our team conducted research to better understand their user needs, created journey maps to highlight pain points and opportunities, and then used these insights to design concepts that visually articulated the research findings.

Summary

As a UI/UX designer on the project, my role was to build wireframes and create the visual interface designs. This concept work included over a dozen fully designed screens and recommendations.

Role

Once we had a clear understanding of the pages that were essential for our portal, we wasted no time in diving into the creation of wireframes. These wireframes served as the initial blueprints for each page, providing us with a visual representation of the layout and structure.

The Approach

We welcomed feedback from our strategists, who provided valuable insights and suggestions for improvement. This collaborative process allowed us to take our wireframes from low fidelity to high fidelity, ensuring that every detail was carefully considered and refined.

A global broker firm had an outdated and cumbersome digital experience with poor user feedback. They needed an intuitive quote process to improve the overall client experience and increase their portal usage.

Challenge

Our goals were to provide the client with design principles which would set guide rails for the Broker digital experience. We focused on creating wireframe templates of our outlined pages, create visual designs from our wireframes and provide design patterns, provide leading practices which based on our knowledge and experience were examples of how the patterns and guidelines should be implemented.

Goals

After our team completed months of competitive research and analysis, I started on wireframes and worked towards creating a number of designs and layouts. We worked with our strategists to get feedback from the client and we used that to move us forward.
